  • Hello, my name is Cindy and when signing up for this class I was a bit nervous because I dislike writing essays especially essays that required 4+ pages.  So I was especially dreading the end of the semester after saying that I needed to submit a 7+ paper, so I was praying that the class would fly by.
  • The was starting off smooth until my family and I had to move but the house wasn't ready to be moved into unless a month and half later. So I was using the hotel/motels awful wifi and my hotspot. So learning about writing and being able to put in action was hard because there was seven of us including two pregnant women. Because of that I was mainly trying to just finish the assignment instead of understanding it. That's why I believe the assignment drafts don’t satisfy the assignment requirements because I would overthink it or underthink it. But foremost, I listen to the instructor/peer review because it’s an outside view of my work. The drafts effectively demonstrate the course objective by me understanding how to analyze literature and being able to put my newfound skills to use. The curse actually got me thinking without me realizing it, like being able to write a seven-page research paper. It was my greatest fear in a school other than public speaking topping it off is writing a 4+paper.
  • My perception of the assignment changed over time because as I complete each assignment I had a better understanding of what you were trying to achieve with us. As for my writing, it change because normally I would go in head first when it’s time for me to write an essay but now I’ll be making it part by part like you did with us. Especially the part where we had to break down what we found was very helpful. Especially when I am in the comfort of my own home and not worrying about me catching some kind of deadly diseases at a hotel my mind was at ease.
  • I would say I’m most proud of my revised task in that I did it and listened to what my peers had to say about my work. I love the fact that I went back to my work and revised it and tried to improve it because back then I wouldn't even take a second look at what another student had to say about my writing. So I'm not sure what had changed in this class but listening to what my peers had to say about my paper really did help me improve my writing skills. But I would have to say I'm going over someone else's paper now that's not an easy task to do.

  • The practices that will be most relevant and beneficial that I would use outside this course would be the part where we break down the findings. Breaking down my findings has help me be able to use it in my research with a full understanding. One other thing is taking the paper step by step instead of taking head first.

  • All in all I believe that this course has been beneficial to me. It was very difficult at times especially at the beginning few weeks of the course and it may be because of my family situation but I can say unfortunately I didn't get to pass both my classes but at least my niece came out healthy. I felt like I've been on a roller coaster this whole semester. Because of this course mainly because of my professor I've seen in the life in writing that doesn't mean I'm going to write a story or whatever but I did put a lot of effort into my writing and I did and for ones well not ones but I spent many hours on each piece. I know that there are some areas that are in need of improvement but like many writer I'll except it open arms I know I haven't quite mastered writing yet but I believe I'm a bit closer to it because of this class. I actually enjoyed English for once in my school career and plus I get to write about my favorite show.
