- Hello, I am doing the prompt "Would you rather be a citizen woman, metic woman, or slave woman in Athens? Explain the pros and cons of your choice." In this comic I will be explaining my choice of being a slave/metic woman in Athens and explaining why i chose this over being a citizen woman.
- First I will be explaining why I chose to be a slave woman. To began slave women did more than just stay in the house like citizen women. Slaves/metics were in fields, worked at stores, taught as teachers, worked in factories, and in mines. Citizen women had much more dependence and were thought to be the ones doing everything, or basically provided everything but money. Even though slave women had no rights they got to see light and they got outside a lot. Slave women were a lot healthier too.
- To conclude, I think that being a slave would be much easier. I think it would easier because they had more freedom in some ways, they were healthier, and they had more skills than just cooking and taking care of children
