- Juliet's parents told her that she had to marry a man named Paris but Juliet's heart only responded to Romeo.
- Juliet was so upset that she wanted to kill herself but instead she decided to fake her death with a sleeping potion so that she did not have to marry Paris and she could be with Romeo.
- Juliet wrote to Romeo explaining her plot to him but some how he did not receive it because he was all the way in Mantua.

- When Romeo saw Juliet 'dead' he was so upset that he poisoned himself right beside her not knowing that she was still alive.
