- Coraline's father was too occupied for her so he told her to go explore the house and told her to count how many windows, doors and everything blue. she counted 21 windows, 14 doors and 153 blue thingsand found a big door which she opened and had a brick wall behind it
- Coraline wasn't the only one living in the flat but there were 3 other people mrs. Spink and mrs. Forcible lived in the flat bellow and an old man with a mustache that was training mice for a circus lived in the flat above.
