- I earned my PhD in Microbiology at the University of Maryland in 2000.
- Hello Dr. Raja. Where did you get your doctorate?
- I completed my postdoctorate work at Harvard Medical School and joined NSU faculty in 2012 and still work there today.
- Where did you complete your postdoctorate? And where do you work now?
- I have over 12 years of research in the field of virology, specifically human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) and its proteins. But there is so much more.
- Good afternoon Dr. Raja what has the majority of your scientific research been devoted to?
- A friend of mine told me you work on the tiny earth project. Would you be able to tell me what thats about?
- Well, Tiny Earth is a project which allows undergraduate students to engage in research in early in their careers, and this lays a solid base for other scientific discoveries.
- Science Alive is a program I started at NSU and it connects the college community with local schools to bring hands on science education and learning opportunities to school children.
- Hello Dr. Raja. I am interested in Science Alive, would you be able to explain to me what it is though?
- I don't think if I was given the option I would change anything about it.
- Would you have done anything different with your educational career?
