- The colony I got was Virginia. So this will be what I could find on Virginia.
- Virginia is a colony that was settled in on 1607 May 13. It was a New England colony. It turned into a New England colony in May 14, 1624. It was founded by John Rolfe and John Smith. Only men and boys were in the Virginian colony for a long time.
- Virginia was named after the queen of England because she was called the virgin queen. The colony was made to Christianizethe native peoples and open up new trade routes. They grew corn and wheat to feed their families and grew tobacco as a cash crop. Their religion was Christianity. Some things kids did in the Virginia colonies was tend to their younger siblings, tend the tobacco, and take care of the farm animals.

- Here's some fun facts about Virginia like it's nickname the Dominion State. It also had the first known European settlement being Jamestown.
- Virginia did have slaves and indentured servants. They were also based almost entirely around agriculture. Summers were burning hot and humid and winters were mild. Some cities and settlements were Williamsburg, . Yorktown, and Richmond. One important event was when Pocahontaswas captured to be held for ransom. Pocahontas was the chiefs daughter. When they took they taught her English and she taught them her language. Pocahontas later marries John Rolfe to most likely keep her tribe safe.
