Storyboard Tekst
- One kiss, my bonny sweetheart I'm after a prize tonight.
- The finely dressed highwayman came riding up to the inn-door. The wind was fierce and the moon was a ghostly galleon riding on a sea of clouds. He cracked his whip against the shutters, then whistled a tune.
- Waiting there was the landlord's daughter, Bess. She had beautiful black eyes and black hair which she was braiding a red love knot into. Meanwhile, Tim the ostler listened angrily and snitched to the red coats, as he loved Bess.
- The highwayman explains how he is going after a prize and she should look for him by moonlight. Bess lets down her hair for him to kiss, then he takes off galloping west.
- Bess waits for the highwayman who does not return. Then a red-coat troop came marching in, gagged her, and bound her to the foot of her bed. There was also a musket beneath her breast. Despite her best efforts, she could not escape from the knots that held her.
- Finally, she had her finger on the trigger of the musket. In the distance, she heard the highwayman riding and shot herself, warning him with her death. The highwayman hears it and takes off until he heard word of Bess' sacrifice.
- He furiously rode back into town, when they shot him down like a dog on a highway.
