- Nick comes back from his date with jordan and sees gatsby's mansion lit brightly and very silent.
- Nick sees gatsby is trying to make him happy and agrees to help him with inviting daisy to his house for tea.
- Gatsby is worried daisy will not show up because it's raining outside, he is pacing all around the room.
- When Daisy and Gatsby saw each other face to face it was very awkward, but when Nick came back they were talking intimately and sitting very close to each other.
- After a while of catching up, Gatsby suggested they look at his house. He shows daisy everything he's made himself and of course with Nick as the third wheel.
- Daisy gets a pianist to play a popular love song and she and Gatsby are dancing and so into each other they forget nick exists. So he leaves them alone together.
