- During the Great Depression, overproduction of goods caused the prices to decline in value. Meaning a lot of people were being fired
- Buying on Margin
- "Can we get some money?!!"
- One negative impact of the Great Depression was, famers, were unable to repay their debts. Meaning they would lose their land and farms.
- Shaky Banking
- "I'm sorry but we don't have your money, first come...first served."
- Many people were speculating the value of stocks, causing them to rush to the bank.
- Restrictions on International Trade
- People were borrowing money from the bank, to purchase stock. This wasn't a good idea because it caused the stock market to crash!
- Banks were making poor investments, as a result when people came to the bank too withdraw money. The banker didn't have any money to give, meaning a lot of people lost their money.
- "WHAT!!!"
- Because of the Great Depression, foreign countries didn't want to pay expensive tariffs, meaning there aren't any international buyers for over speculation.
- "We will NOT buy ANYTHING from you...."
