- One day a little boy named Jack decided to sell the family cow for a bunch of magic beans
- Jack decided to go plant the beans in the garden
- Jack ran away from the giant, but not before stealing back some family riches, including a self-playing harp and a golden egg-laying goose
- The beans grew into a giant beanstalk
- At the top of the beanstalk there was a castle and an angry, hungry giant
- Fee Fi Fo Fum, I smell the blood of an English man, Be he alive, or be he dead, I'll grind his bones to make my bread
