- Ivon, who is a professor in Los Angeles has taken a flight to El Paso, Texas north of Juarez, Mexico to adopt a newborn child.
- It's our pleasure!We're excited to meet your future child along with the mother.
- Cecilia, the teenage mother of the child Ivon was planning to adopt.
- After Ivon doesn't hear back from the Cecilia, she searches for her where she is found dead in a basement.
- What happened?
- Who could've done something like this?!
- Sorry we can't, we're visiting this young mother to talk about adopting her son.
- After a couple of days, Ivon and Irene are on their way to visit another mother who is looking for someone to adopt her son, but run into Ivon's ex girlfriend.
- Do you two want to go to the Juarez fair? It will surely be entertaining!
- Ivon's ex-girlfriend Raquel
- After Ivon politly rejects her ex girlfriends invitation to the fair, Irene is furious at her for saying no and decides to sneak out.
- You said that you would take me to the fair!
- I'm sorry but I just can't take you, and you are not allowed to go by yourself!
- Raquel's niece Myrna
- Irene successfully sneaks out and meets up with Raquel's niece Myrna where they both end up getting drunk.
- As the night goes on, Irene ends up in the dangerous part of town alone with no prior knowledge of anything.
