- Dominick Arduin was born in 1961 in France, Paris, and in 1985, she survived one year in the Canadian woods testing techniques for survival with 7 other people
- At the age of 27, she moved to work as a guide in the Finnish Lapland, for 15 years and received a dual citizenship

- In 2004, while kayaking to go skiing to the north pole. Dominick Arduin disappeared. After one day, she lost touch with her base, and after helicopter searches failed to find her, she was presumed dead, they thought she drowned while kayaking, between ice floes 15 miles from her departure point. Although some think that she had intentionally disappeared because she was in dept and moved to Russia.
- Dominick Arduin was called a hero, before a writer called Sven Pahajoki wanted to write a book about her, but he found out that she had lied about having cancer, and not having a sister, her sister and uncle was found. He also found out that dominick had done disappearances before, and believed that she had disappeared and moved to Russia because she had studied Russian and knew people there.To this day, we still do not know if Dominick is dead or if she had intentionally disappeared
