- This scene was when the Neur tribe robbed Salva's group out of their resources and killed Salva's Uncle. This is how this scene shows peril.
- In the first few chapters when the war started Salva was living with an old lady but then she had to go, and there was a group walking by, but they didn't want Salva because he was just a kid and would slow them down also being another mouth to feed. Making Salva feel hopeless that they would want him in the group.

- Define: Despair is the feeling that there is no hope.
- this scene is from when Salva and his group left the camp some of the older boys didnt want to share and look after the younger ones, so then they and Salva had an disagreement. This is how this scene represents Dispute.
