- If the North didn't used factories and depended on slaves then the war would not have happened because the North would have slaves to

- The reason that States' Rights was so big in the Civil War is because if States' Rights didn't exist then slavery would have already been gone
- The reason that this was a cause that began the Civil War is because that people now knew that even the slaves that escaped to the North were still theirs so the South tried to claim the North so they could have more slaves
- This book was not that big of a reason that began the Civil War but it still convinced some Southerners that slavery was truly evil
