- Hey Class! As you can see from the board today we are learning about Oil and how it was formed. Can I have a Volunteer? We will go back in time.

- We are millions of years in the past, all these plants and animals around us, will die and go into the ground, and many of them will be in the oil that we use today. Sedimentary rocks are formed from the once living organisms. The weight of water and heat from Earths core, morphs the rocks into natural gas and oil.

- Now we are in a cave, now this is all, IMPERMEABLE-ROCK Impermeable rock is rock that liquid and gas can't pass through.
- Oil can lay in pores, some pores may be too small to see, but many pores can lead Oil and gas to the surface, but if they run into something like this cave, they could be stuck there for millions of years.
