There are millions of stories like Melania’s. 56% of girls and 40% of boys grades 7-12 experienced a form of sexual harassment. Unfortunately, very few speak up.
In 2018, Melania Hidalgo shared her story of abuse at the hands of her highschool teacher. He was someone she looked up to and considered a mentor, until he got too close.

1 in 4 girls and 1 in 6 boys have been sexually abused before the age of 18. As many as 93% of victims under the age of 18 know the abuser. And it’s happening right here, in our schools.
