- While my League of Nations did not prevent future wars it had a significant impact on society because it assisted in building the groundwork for future international peacekeeping and security groups. I was a passionate supporter of social reform during my political career. I advocated for women's suffrage and African-American civil rights, and my progressive beliefs helped define American culture in the early twentieth century.
