Bud, Not Buddy chapter 8

- A kid walks under the tree, stepping on a stick waking Bud up. Bud proceeds to grip onto his pocket knife hard, as the person pulls him into a hug preventing Bud from stabbing him. The kid so happens to be somebody from the home, Bugs. Bugs and Bud proceed to have a conversation then spitting onto their hands and shaking each others hands as a sign of being (pretend) brothers. Then walking towards a train to get onto.
- They got onto the train, after a night, arriving at Hooverville but in Flint. The man offers a deal of food to Bugs and Bud if they washed the dishes. Which they agreed to. Bud then starts washing the dishes with a girl named Deza Malone. They start talking about why they're there and about their parents, Deza learning that Bud's mother is dead in the process.
- Bud and Deza end up getting along very well, kissing each other while listening to a song about two people always apart but still loving each other.When Bud wakes up the next morning, the train is departing with police officers taking it away. Bud gets up quickly trying to catch the train, and he then realizes he forgot to put a blue flyer into his suitcase, then having to do that loosing the train.
