- Slide 3-Battle of Thermopylae
- The Ionian Greek city states, are plotting to attack the Persians and take the Fertile Crescent and Asia minor
- Slide 4-Battle of Salamis
- That man in the background is Pheidippides and he ran 26 miles from Marathon all the way to the Athens just to warn them about the war.
- Slide 5-Battle of Plateau
- After Xerxes's father was killed he swore to take revenge on all of Ancient Greece. He hated Athenians more than the other greeks.
- Slide 6-Effects of the war
- So you see, Sparta was left weak, the Athens created the Delian league. Later on the Athens rebuilt their city state better than it was before
- The Persians and greeks battled on ships while king Xerxes sat in a throne on top of a hill.
- The Persians were defeated by the Athenians. King Xerxes decided to retreat his men.
