- It was 8 am on a snowy Monday Morning. I had barely slept from the excitement I was feeling. After a long month of searching, I had finally found a dog that was perfect for us, and today me and my parents were going to pick him up!
- My mom was going over expectation for when the dog came home. I payed close attention to her as I set out the things for the dog. Such as his bed, and bowls.
- I packed multiple snacks and beverages for both me and my dog considering it was gonna be a three hour drive. It was just me and my dad on the journey and we both took in the lovely snow scenery, and had a variety of interesting conversations like aliens and the end of the world as he drove.
- After an hour in, our first stop was at a gas-station. I leave my dad alone to go get some chips and he goes up to the cashier and ask for 20 dollars in our pump. The cashier pretends to not understand him due to his accent and refuses to help him.
- Other cashiers are perfectly capable of understanding him! What is your problem?
- This is America! In here we speak English!
- I was not gonna allow that interaction to ruin my day! After two hours we made it to our destination. I was surprised to see two elderly Amish couple greet me, but they were very polite
