- Macbeth: Act 1After the former Thane of Cawdor was betrayed, Macbeth was given the title of Thane of Cawdor.
- I'm now the Thane of Cawdor, just as they predicted. Why do I find myself fantasizing about assassinating King Duncan, a terrifying thought?
- Thank you, gentlemen.
- Macbeth: Act 2Macbeth killed King Duncan due to his lust of power but after he did the deed, he felt guilty.
- I can’t go back. I’m afraid even to think about what I’ve done. I can’t stand to look at it again.
- Coward. Give me the dagger. People who are dead and sleeping can't hurt you anymore.
- Macbeth : Act 3Macbeth ignore the fact that his lust for power is corrupting him. He murdered people to become king and each time he did it, it haunted him.
- You haven’t slept.
- Yes, let's head to bed. My weird self-delusions are simply the result of my lack of experience. When it comes to crimes, we're still amateurs.
- Macbeth: Act 4 Macbeth goes to the witches to ask for more of his prophecy. He wanted to be certain that no one threatened the throne.
- I'll ensure my own demise by trying to assassinate you, Macduff. That way, I'll be able to overcome my own fear and sleep soundly at night. If your evil powers can see thus far, tell me if Banquo's sons will ever rule this nation.
- Don’t try to find out more.
- Macbeth: Act 5Macduff finally takes revenge and killed Macbeth. Macbeth's drive for power has corrupted his mind and the way he acts which results in his death.
- Macduff is missing, and so is your noble son.
- He only lived long enough to become a man, and as soon as he proved that he was a man by fighting like one, he died.
