- Exposition
- "...I am a little girl with skinny arms and a Squeaky voice, which is how I got the name Squeaky. All I have to do in life is mind my brother Raymond, which is enough".
- Inciting Incident
- Rising Action
- "What grade you in now, Raymond?"
- "You got anything to say to my brother, you say it to me, Mary Lousie Williams of Raggedy Town, Baltimore."
- Squeaky's responsibility, regardless of how she appears, is to protect Raymond. She is protective of her brother since anyone making fun of Raymond's disability would have to go through her.
- Climax
- "...you must win, you are the fastest thing in the world.."
- Squeaky was walking along Broadway with Raymond to practice her breathing exercises for the race.
- Falling Action
- Gretchen and sidekicks come and confront Raymond so Squeaky being the protective sister she is, sticks up for him.
- Resolution
- "And I smile. Cause she's good, no doubt about it. Maybe she would like to help me coach Raymond.."
- The race has begun and Squeaky faces off against Gretchen.
- Squeaky notices Raymond running in his own style and keeping up with her on the other side of the fence, and she is so surprised and shocked that she almost stops to watch Raymond on his first run, but she continues to do what she does best, run and wins the race.
- Squeaky realizes Gretchen is good at running and they start to gain respect for each other. The lesson learned in to not judge someone before getting to know them. Because Gretchen was Squeaky's only competitor, she was aggressive towards her. However, as the race came to a close she realized Gretchen was good at running making her opinion on Gretchen change making her more mature.
