- Scene 1
- When should the three of us meet again?
- We’ll meet after the war, in an open field
- And there, we meet Macbeth
- Scene 2
- We almost lost the battle, but the brave Macbeth saved us all and killed the Thane of Cawdor by himself
- That's a great news, prepare for Macdonwald's execution and give Macbeth the title.
- Scene 3
- Hmmm... seems sketchy to me, is it true or you're just messing with us?
- Seems legit to me, tell me more
- All hail Macbeth, the Thane of Cawdor and the future king, and for you Banquo, you will not gonna be a king, but your kids will, lol.
- Upon the heath in Scotland, the three evil witches agreed to meet once again after the battle, but with Macbeth this time to tell him about his future, and after discussing him about his future, they'll disappear. This is an act of foreshadowing on what's gonna happen when they meet Macbeth
- Scene 4
- King Duncan asks the Captain for news after the battle. He told Duncan that Macdonwald was successfully captured by Macbeth himself and gained victory. Duncan then decided to name Macbeth the new Thane of Cawdor.
- Scene 5
- The king wishes to see you, tonight, your grace.
- They met me in the day of success, and I have learned by the perfect’st report they have more in them than mortal knowledge. When I burned in desire to question them further, they made themselves air, into which they vanished. Whiles I stood rapt in the wonder of it came missives from the King, who all-hailed me “Thane of Cawdor,” by which title, before, these Weïrd Sisters saluted me and referred me to the coming on of time with “Hail, king that shalt be.” This have I thought good to deliver thee, my dearest partner of greatness, that thou might’st not lose the dues of rejoicing by being ignorant of what greatness is promised thee. Lay it to thy heart, and farewell.
- Upon the heath, Macbeth and Banquo encountered the three witches on the way back to the King's castle, when the three witches told both of them about their future, the easily manipulated Macbeth believed the three, while Banquo called it B.S.
- Scene 5
- So, I received your letter, if you can't be the Prince of Cumberland, then be the king, and in order to do that... you must kill Duncan
- We arrived at the castle and Duncan crowned Malcolm as Prince of Cumberland, when Macbeth began worrying that he's in a competition with him of becoming a king. This foreshadows Macbeth's character from becoming a trustworthy soldier, into a traitor. This also foreshadows Macbeth and Lady M's plan to kill Duncan.
- Hail, the Prince of Cumberland
- Hai- Hail Prince of Cumberland
- Then we meet Lady Macbeth, who received Macbeth's letter, telling her about the witches' prophecy which she quickly believed considering Macbeth became the Thane of Cawdor. A servant then enters to inform her that Duncan wishes to come to their place. She fears that Macbeth won't do any wrongdoings and we see a glimpse of her true intentions in the next scene.
- Come, you spirits that assist murderous thoughts, make me less like a woman and more like a man, and fill me from head to toe with deadly cruelty!
- In the same, next scene, Macbeth arrives and confirmed once more to Lady M that Duncan will stay in their home for tonight and will leave tomorrow. She then tried to lure Macbeth into killing the king. He thought that the idea was insane, but she couldn't care less as she wants him to act normal for tonight. Another form of shadowing, because the king has no idea of what's gonna happen later.
- Just act normal for tonight, you'll thank me later.
- He's coming here tonight, and WHAT DO YOU MEAN KILL HIM? ARE YOU INSANE?
