- Welcome to Laatu! I'm the second wife of my husband, my name's Eveliina.
- My great-great-grandparents owned one of the oldest and biggest farms of my hometown.
- I'm Manasse Laatu, born in the 1840s. I've got so many children that some of them had to immigrate to the U.S and Canada to get out of the way!
- One of Manasse's and Eveliina's many children was Eeti, my great-grandpa. He wasn't the oldest child, so he couldn't inherit his parents' farm. He went on to marry a woman named Aino.
- Hello! My name's Eeti, by the way.
- And I'm Aino. Good day!
- Together, Aino and Eeti had 10 children!
- One of them was me, Erkki!
- Meanwhile, my grandmother Sirkka had been growing up with her mother Fanny and Fanny's mother Eufrosyne. They were living on the other side of the lake from the Laatu's.
- My name's Fanny. I was born in 1901. I bought this house myself! The baby's my second son, Tauno.
- I'm Sirkka, born in 1936. I don't know my father that well.
- I'm Eufrosyne, Fanny's mother.
- My father Eeti died before he could meet my wife Sirkka.
- Erkki would cross the lake between him and Sirkka on boat. Later, they got married. The marriage was a rather unhappy one, though.
- My grandmother Eufrosyne passed away in the 40s. My mother Fanny still lives with us.
- I, Fanny, lived the rest of my life with my daughter's family. In my later years, I was bedridden and blind, though.
- Erkki and Sirkka had four children together: Pirkko, Ritva, Keijo and Raija, my mother.
- I would die by the age of 62... Health issues.
- I'm Raija!
- I'm still alive and going strong!
