- Kezia always considered her father a figure to be feared. Until he leaves for office, she is always scared. After she hears the sound of the carriage becoming fainter, she relaxes.
- Thank God, he's leaving!
- I am leaving for work

- In the evening, her mom would ask her to be a good girl and take off her father's boots. She would come down, slowly, scared of him. She never stuttered in front of anyone, except for her father.
- Kezia, have you been a good girl today?
- I d-d-don't know, father
- On Sunday afternoons, her grandmother would send her to the drawing room to spend time with her parents, but she always found her dad sleeping and her mom reading
- zzzzzzzz.......

- Really?
- Once when she was indoors sick, her grandmother suggested that she gift her father a pin cushion for his birthday. But, instead of filling it with usual things, she filled it with papers she found on her mom's bed-table. Little did she know that it would lead her into trouble.
- You can make a pin cushion as a gift for your father's birthday
- After her father came back from work, she came to know that those papers were her dad's important speeches. She was spanked by her dad to be taught a lesson.
- It was for your b-b-birthday
- You must be taught once and for all!
- Her grandmother tried to comfort her, but all in vain.
