- in the beginning of the story monsieur could remember the first time he found disiree laying asleep and also remember her saying dada.
- desdiree and armand get married and then they have a child which changes the them of the story.
- 3 months later goes by and desiree sences something is not right so she call her mom because she has no idea what to do.
- desiree called her mom to come see the baby and she realized that the baby does not look like hers. desiree thought that maybe she was not fully white and she thought the reason why the color of the skin of the baby was the reason of her. So she decide that must do something.
- desiree parents told her to go to their house but desiree had other plans... she took herself and the baby and she was not found.
- After all that Armand decided to burn desiree things Armand found several letters and in one of them was a suprise that could of change the outcome to his wife and kid.THEME racismdesiree believed that she was the reason why her baby was different so she ended her and her baby life because he would be treated differently bacuase the color of his skin
