The Following week,Brandon went to the Brand New Ice Cream Store
I wish I can join this protest
At the Suburbs of Montgomery in 1963 there were many cries for freedom and justice for the African-American People. Many wanted to join the revolution just like this little boy named Brandon.
WE WANT JUSTICE! WE WANT FREEDOM! WE WANT EQUALITY!
STOP THIS NONSENSE YOU ALREADY HAVE ENOUGH FREEDOM
Brandon and the group of protestors protested all day until pitch dark. He and many others wanted to stop the Segregation of White people and African-American people.
WHY CAN'T WE HAVE THE SAME SEATS AT THE BUS LIKE WHITE PEOPLE! WHY CAN'T WE USE THE SAME ENTRANCE AS WHITE PEOPLE!
STOP ALREADY JUST GO HOME.
As Brandon went home that night, his mom was very furious that a little boy like him was protesting at night and she was very worried.
Mom I am sorry, please don't ground me. I was protesting for our rights.
Also leave the protesting to the adults. You know how violent the cops can be especially to African American folks
Yes Brandon you are grounded for a week. Why didn't you tell me?
Im sorry sir. It will never happen again.
DON'T YOU SEE THE SIGN FOOL. GET OUT.
WHITES ONLY
Brandon was very angry that he didn't get the ice cream from the store. He complained to his mother
It isn't fair that only white people can eat ice cream at the new store but we can't
I know that isn't fair but we will overcome it. Also look Martin Luther Kings speech at Washington DC
Yeah it was amazing.
The next day, Brandon and his classmates were talking about Martin Luther King's "I Have A Dream Speech"
Guys have you heard the Martin Luther King speech.
Hopefully after this speech segregation can end
