- This is a complete waste of time. This is like the great deserts of africa
- In 1803 President Thomas Jefferson bought new land for $15mil. That purchase doubled the size of the US and what a steal that was.
- Stephen H. Long
- This place is so dry. This is going to be called the Great American Desert.
- Lewis and Clark were the first to explore Kansas after the Louisiana Purchase. They explained it as a beautiful place but there was one problem, the water tasted bad.
- Jackson's Speech
- LEAVE NOW!!! THIS IS OUR LAND!!
- Pike was the second explorer to go into Kansas and he said it was really dry and bad farming conditions. He compared it to the great deserts of Africa.
- Indian Removal Act (IRA)
- Stephen H. Long followed in Pike's sightings of the land. He gave it the nickname "The Great American Desert". He also arrived on steamboat.

- Jackson told indian savages to leave this land and to go to the new land. The reason is because the new land was said to not be as good as this current land.

- The IRA forced indians to move to Kansas because it was said to be poor living conditions. This was also helped by Jackson's speech to kick them out.
