Sam Suffers from anxiety. Sam often got up late, and would rush to get ready, leaving the house stressed and tired. This also started to affect her mom, making her constantly stressed for her daughter.
Sam told her mom everything. Her mom is a therapist, so she knows how to help her and understands how she's feeing. She listens as Sam speaks. Her responses are perfect too, and allows Sam to feel better about talking to her. Her mom then offers to help Sam to develop healthy habits.

Sam always felt this way, but never said anything. She thought it would get better and that she could handle it herself. She kept all these thoughts to herself, so no one understood and knew what was going on with her. She was afraid people would react in a negative way and see her differently.
Sam started to go to sleep at a more reasonable time and would get her homework done after school instead of in the morning

Sam often procrastinated homework and just played games with friends. She was always happy when she gamed, and she enjoyed doing it. Sam often did her homework in the morning, since she pushed it off, and chose to play games instead. She was always late in the morning and didn't always have time to eat breakfast.

Healthy habits? What do you mean?
When we develop healthy habits, we do the opposite. We practice doing healthy and productive things everyday. This will lead it to become a habit, and will take less effort to do this good things, to stop you from continuing to do the negative and harmful things
I mean, you've been doing the same unhealthy and negative things over and over again for a while, so it's become a habit.

Since Sam did her homework the night before, she wasn't as stressed in the mornings and wasn't running late. Her mom was also less stressed and they worked together in the mornings to get themselves ready for the day. This helped Sam feel More in control of her emotions.
