I was very happy. I had a lot of friends, a lot of great things going on, I had so much fun in my classes and my grades were popping.
However, the saying goes that all good things must come to an end eventually. The said ending was chasing me, and I was avoiding it as much as I can.
DING DING
I shouldn't.
All students attending TAE High School next year, please report to the cafeteria
You could skip it!
High school starts in a few months, so 8th graders are invited to a welcoming tour. The thing is though, my middle school feeds into 2 different high schools. Only 20% of the 8th grade body feeds into TAE. I was a part of that 20%.
Most of my friends would be going to the other high school. I would be losing something that made me very happy, something that I've been building on for years, and I didn't like the thought of that.
Hey, I'm glad you came!
The only thing that stopped me from skipping the trip were some close friends of mine since elementary school. They were also going to the same high school as me.
