  • The government recommends  at least 60 minutes of moderate to vigorous exercise per day for children ages 6 through 17. Engaging in regular physical activity improves overall health and fitness, as well as preventing bad health and complications.
  • Health benefits can arise immediately after exercising, within a short period, or in the long term effects. At least 150 minutes a week of brisk walking constantly reduces the chances of many chronic illnesses and other harmful health outcomes.
  • Exercise can also reduce the risk of getting depression, reduce weight, reduce anxiety, improve sleep, and strengthen bone which reduces the risk of injuries from falling and other accidents.
  • A week of exercise should include aerobic activity, and muscle and bone-strengthening activities. There are so many health benefits, that people should start today. There are so many easy and fun ways to exercise such as playing tag, going for a bike ride, doing competitions with friends, jump roping, or going for a run to clear your mind.
