  • the spinning jenny was created in 1764 to 1765 by james hargreaves and it was a mutli-spindle spinning frame. the spinning jennys revolutionized the process of cotton spining and was operated by hand. it also sped up the production of textile of wool or cotton and reduced the amount of work need to produce cloth. although many workers we afraid of it for speeding up the spinning process and reduced labour demand and was distroyed after a while.

  • Eli Whitney made the cotton gin in 1794 a machine that revolutionized production of cotton and speeded it up too by removing seeds from the cotton fiber. it became Americas leading export by the 19 century. although this machine increased the demand of both land and enslaved people for the fast production cotton.; the cotton gin also cost $60 and for shipping $40 which turned into a fail with the amount of people copying it illegaly.

  • during the I.R. alexander graham bell created the first funtional telephone in 1876 which led to the US and Europe installing the revolutionary telephone system. the telephone was a amjor sucess during the I.R. becuse it let businesses negotiate contracvts quickly and effdiciently. it also reduced travel time and businesses expand behond their local area. this telephone made alexander graham incredibly wealthy after it spread and became the american telephone.

  • ThomasEdison ;created the first incandescent ight bulb in January 1879 at his laboratory in Menlo park new jersey. the light bulb only burned for a few short hours because it passed current through a platinum strip which caused a glow. although it was sued for so many things from lamps and car headlights to advertising lighting. the light bulb took ThomasEdison 14 months to make it took him long because he was also busy developing a electric meter so it didn't get much attention so its unsafe for running too hot sometimes.
  • in 1870s Carnegie's new company built the first steel plants in the US which lead to rapid expansion of cities and urban infrastructure and more like railroads, bridges, factories, etc. and used the steal making Bessemer process. the people who built the us steel was Andrew Carnegie, J,P, Morgan and Charles Schwab and they emerged in western PA and eastern OH. although today there is 307 iron and steel manufacturing businesses not much because in 1974-1986 the steel industry collapsed do to a ten year downturn by OPEC oil embargo
  • in 1860 dynamite was invented by Alfred Nobel. dynamite was 1,000 more times powerful than gun powder which allowed workers to dig deeper and more quickly while building roads, mines, tunnels, canals, etc. dynamite started in Sweden being a safe explosive and started being produced immediately in Vinterviken and made uneconomical deposits therefor became profitable. dynamite changed the industrial revolution because it allowed worker to destroy mines a rock to use for material or clear for further industrialization.
