- In 1789, People were divided into 3 estates. The first estate had high-ranking in the church and it was privileged class. The second estate was known by nobles they collected taxes in the form of feudal dues it was also privileged class. The third estate was known by pretty much everyone and they had no privileges.
- The king lavished money on himself and his palaces as well. The Queen spent a lot of money on dresses and fashion. They were taking in more money then what tax takes in for revenues.
- Louis XVI didn't want a written constitution. The news to use military force against the National Assembly was spread and it reached Paris on July 14, 1789 and people stormed the Bastille.
- Napoleon
- Napoleon invaded kingdoms in Europe. He named himself as a military leader and national leader. He also opens jobs based on talent. There is even a Napoleonic code such as "Equality of all citizens-religious toleration". He lost his power in the colonies in the South America.
