- This is verbal irony because he is saying something different that what is meant saying I heard all things in the heaven and in the earth. I heard many things in hell.For example telling someone it's raining cats and dogs when it's actually means that it's raining a lot.What would normally happen is your telling someone that you have sharpen senses mostly your hearing since you ca hear all things in heaven,earth, and hell

- This is situational irony because the irony because the narrator said that he went and that from there on he was no longer nice to the old man.For example, say you worked at a fire station and that fire station burned down that would be situational irony.What would normally happen is that the narrator went to work in a good mood instead hatting the old man

- This is Dramatic irony because the old man doesn't know that he is getting stalked by the narrator,but the readers do.For example. say you have hiding eggs for Easter only you know where they are and nobody else does. what would normally happen is that the old man knows that the narrator is stalking him and is scared
