- Boilers Code requires that every steam boiler that is automatically ignited and not under the constant supervision of a certified operator must be fitted with two approved low-water cut-off devices.
- These devices are made to cut off the fuel supply if the water level drops.must be installedThe configuration should be such that the water level must be sufficiently dropped to activate the low-water cut-off and turn off the boiler.
- the second type are called Electric often referred to as an electric probe and relay type low fuel cut-off switch
- There are different types of water cut off devices... first we have Float also likewise known as a low fuel cut off switch
- The third type is called Second- used to protect against low water situations, a second low-water cut-off switch that operates independently form the feedwater control mechanism is installed.
