- Fire! Children come out! The house is on fire!
- Once upon a time, there was a wealthy man who had a magnificent mansion
- The Parable of the Burning House
- Hurry, come out of the house! It's not safe inside! The fire is spreading
- The mansion was filled with all sorts of toys and treasures and the man's children loved to play inside.
- The Parable of the Burning House
- One day, while the children were playing, the man noticed that the mansion had caught fire! Flames were spreading quickly, and the children were in danger
- The Parable of the Burning House
- The man called out to his children, "Hurry, come out of the house! It's not safe inside! The fire is spreading!"
- But the children were too busy playing to hear their father's warning. They didn't understand the danger they were in.
- The man knew he had to find a way to save his children. So he thought of a clever plan. He called out to them again, "Children, come outside! I have wonderful new toys for you!"

- Excited by the promise of new toys, the children rushed out of the burning mansion and into the safety of their father's arms.

- Once they were safe outside, the man revealed the truth to his children. He hadn't any new toys. But he had saved them from the fire, which was far more important.

- SUFFERING
- The children were grateful to their father for saving them. And they learned an important lesson about listening to their father's wisdom and the importance of safety over toys and treasures.

- The Buddha used this story to teach us about the dangers of being caught up in the desires and distractions of the world.
- Just like the burning mansion, our lives are impermanent and filled with suffering
- But if we listen to the Buddha's teachings and follow the path of wisdom and compassion, we can find true happiness and liberation from suffering.
