- Now listen up, there are many layers of the earth. There is the crust, the mantle, the inner core, and the outer core.

- The next layer of earth is the mantle. This is the biggest layer. The mantle is a semi-solid. This means that the properties of the mantle act as a solid AND a liquid!

- This stage looks like the core. There is two layers of the core.
- Now, there is one thing you need to know before we move on to the most important part of this lesson. Hot particles and air rise because they are less dense. Cold particles and air sink because they are more dense.
- Actually, Keira that is a really good example of the core! The inner core is made of solid iron, and the outer core is made of liquid nickel iron and nickel.

- Now, the last part of the lesson is convection. the inner and outer core warm the mantle. The semi-solid rock that is warmed goes up to the crust, and when it cools, its sinks back down to the bottom to the matle.
