After Joseph was put in prison, he was put in charge of the prisoners. The king's baker and wine steward were also with him. One day, they were telling him an interesting dream that they had.
After telling Joseph their dreams, Joseph interpreted it for them. For the wine steward, he said that in three days, he would be released and restored to his position. For the baker, he said that in three days, he would be hung and executed, where birds would feed on him.

In order to survive the 7 years of famine ahead, the King appointed Joseph as the governor of all of Egypt, becoming his right hand man and advisor. Under his leadership, Joseph made the nation prosper and helped them survive the famine.
