- The teachers gather both schools in the Theatre of Tales to do something called the Welcoming. Two dogs, Castor and Pollux, blab on about rules. Agatha and Sophie talk quietly behind the benches.
- Guess I'm alone, then.
- After Castor and Pollux finished their speech, the Everboys did a sword fight. Sophie spotted a boy that she couldn't take her eyes off of!
- What if there’s a class where I have to grow warts? Or worse? Probably worse.
- Sophie finds out that the boy's name is Tedros. He is also King Arthur's son! But then Beatrix starts talking to him and Sophie frowns. Meanwhile, Agatha has made a new friend named Kiko.
- The Welcoming is finished. Agatha heads back to her dormitory. Her roommates are Reena and Millicent, but they ran away and moved to another room.
- Meanwhile, in the School for Evil, Sophie worries about her placing in the wrong school and what classes in Evil would be like.
- In the morning in Good’s castle, Agatha was shooed out of her room by fairies and down the steps of Purity Tower to her first class. She didn’t have any ideas of what to expect or how to get out of the pink nightmare that was being a student in Good.
