- Abandoned
- Life was great! We were always together and having so much fun. He was my best friend and I was his.
- But something happened, and his smile disappeared. He no longer wanted to play with me and he soon became very depressed.
- Then one day he tried to smile again. He took me for our usual morning walk, but this time we stopped at a park bench. I'm not sure why - but he kept telling me how much I meant to him.
- We sat for a while and I fell asleep at his feet. When I woke, he was gone. I stayed to wait for him, thinking he wouldn't be long. Minutes turned into hours, but he never came back.
- I felt lost and alone. Cars zoomed on by and people rushed past without even noticing me. Until I heard her. She had the most beautiful, soothing voice and caring eyes. She told me everything will be ok.
- And she was right! Life could not be better! She took me home and she loves me. I know because she tells me every day. We do everything together and I even sleep on her bed. She is my world and I am hers.
