  • Lady Macbeth desperately walks away still hopeless...
  • Tis fine, I shall tryeth. But that gent wonneth't hark.
  • Macbeth is lacking valor.
  • Lady Macbeth rushes for help in the middle of the night...
  • ACT IV
  • I can not catch but a wink. I has't to washeth mine own hands. Those art cov'r'd in blood.
  • Mine own queen, what hath happened.
  • The Queen horrified of guilt runs away from her therapist without any care...
  • Mine own queen, stand ho. Nay!
  • Mine own valorous Queen hast gone nimble-footed
  • The therapist sees Lady Macbeth muttering to herself...She can not help asthe drawbridge is closed...
  • The third session left the Lady feeling hopeless. She felt as though she was lost in a maze and needed help finding a way out. As the meeting finished, the therapist thought how bad of a husband Macbeth was. The therapist exclaimed how a genuine relationship is someone who accepts your past. Supports your present, loves you unconditionally and encourages your future.
  • "To bed, to bed. There’s knocking at the gate. Come, come, come, come, give me your hand. What’s done cannot be undone. To bed, to bed, to bed."(5.1.45-48).
  • The therapist notices Lady Macbeth is wearing the colour orange, which signifies madness. The Lady says she can't sleep and wants to cleanse her hands of blood. The therapist quickly evaluates she is suffering from a psychological issue.
  • The next day In the crypts of Lady Macbeth's home...

  • While pursuing the runaway Queen, the therapist realizes that the stress of the guilt itself can have a severe effect on some people. She says she has never observed a guilty person behave in such a manner. She considers guilt to be mostly psychological, but in extreme cases, it can have physical effects like insomnia, or hallucinations. Finally, she says guilt shares a lot of symptoms with depression; and depression can develop within someone with severe guilt issues.

  • She is saddened by the fact that she can not help her Queen. She will come back tomorrow afternoon to confront her majesty.

  • ACT V
  • Lady Macbeth's therapist is filled with disbelief. She feels guilty for not pursuing her more or giving better advice.
  • The therapist finally realizes that unchecked ambition only leads to misfortune. She reflects from the beginning. She says Lady Macbeth's true downfall was her unchecked ambition for power. She encouraged Macbeth to murder just to achieve their goals. But she failed to see how their ambition made them cross moral lines and ultimately lead to their downfall.
