- The Big Boom!
- It was a beautiful weekend, and we were leaving our friends the Brices' house. My mom and Mrs. Brice were talking inside, so my dad took me and my brother outside to play around. Luke Brice, their son, began to throw his boomerang into street.

- It would be realy cool if I could catch that thing Luke's throwing!
- Stop Luke, someone's going to get hurt!
- Mr. Brice, Luke's dad, went up to him and told him to stop throwing the boomerang, but he didn't listen. A few throws later, he told Luke to stop again. He still didn't listen.
- Our parents were talking, and I got bored just watching Luke play with his boomerang. It was then that the thought came to me.
- Just a few more?!
- A few minutes passed, and Luke hadn't stopped yet. Mr. Brice told Luke to stop throwing the boomerang once more, but he just wanted one more throw.
- I ran towards the end of the driveway, keeping my eye on the boomerang.
- It would be realy cool if I could catch that thing Luke's throwing!
- Our parents were talking, and I got bored just watching Luke play with his boomerang. It was then that the thought came to me.
- Just one more good one?!
- My Brother
- When the stick comes down, I'll go and catch it! That'll be so cool! I can do it, I can do it!
- I ran to the end of the driveway, and reached out my arms!
- Here it comes... almost got it! And!....
- Slam!
- Luke threw the Boomerang into the air as hard as he could! My brother ran under the garage, recognising the danger. It was then that I had a fantastic idea!
- Everyone ran towards me as I screamed and cried in pain! My dad picked me up as my mom ran out side!
- Everyone said their brief "goodbyes" and "good lucks", and I was rushed to the nearest hospital!
- As the boomerang came down, it had hit me in the head and cut my eyebrow wide open!

- WHAT HAPPENED?!
- My Mom
- Inside, I was given excruciatingly painful stitches. My mom had to hold me down, while my dad took my brother for a walk. When it was over, I got to have a very yummy strawberry popsicle!
- After an exauhsting evening in the emergency room, we finally went home and I got some rest and Mcdonalds for dinner! Over the next few weeks, my injury healed. I had gone through a lot in just a few, short hours, and I have the scar to prove it!
