- Gregor moves into a new apartment on his own, and quits his traveling salesman job. His parents understand and now his father is working once again to provide their living.

- Gregor has a stable job that does not require any traveling, and he finally can settle down to make real friends. Gregor keeps in touch with his family and often reaches out. He is almost done saving money to send Grete to a good music program. He lives happily after all, without the guilt of not supporting his parents, since they did not help him at his worst. He is forever grateful for this experience and learned to put himself first.
