- A guard reports to the King apprehensivly reports to King Creon that Polyneices has been buried against the Kings wishes. Exasperated, Creon accuses the guard of bribery and furiously threats him to bring the culprit to him.
- A heated debate brews between Creon and his son Haemon about the fate of Antigone. Although Creon is dissapointed Haemon is disagreeing with him, he is contenplative and conflicted about the will of the God's. Because of his inconclusiveness, Creon decided to exile Antigone to a cave and leave it to the Gods to decide her fate.
- Shortly after Creon sent Antigone to solitude, Tieresais the blind prophet reports mortal omens the foreshadow Haemon's death. Creon, too stubborn to admit his wrongdoings, stiffly sends the prophet away, and thereafter intimatly and reluctantly admits to the chorus the faults of his actions.
- Creon sends to rescue Antigone. However, after arriving to her place of solitude, he found Antigone dead and Haemon mourning his loss. Hameon, out of rage, draws his sword to duel with Creon, yet stabs himself instead. Creon now miserably and dispairingly mourns the loss of his last living son.
