  • Bahrain is a mix of traditional and modern. While on one side I visited Al Fateh mosque which is the largest mosque of the country and understood its history of how it was built, on the other side I visited the bustling district of Adliya which has new age cafes and restaurants with cuisines from across the globe – it was a work and travel experience that I’ll cherish for a long time to come. But aboveall, what I enjoyed most in Bahrain was the safety the country provided. Cab facilities like Uber and local taxies are easily available, food and grocery delivery apps make it convenient for catering to daily needs and the Bahraini people are hospitable and welcoming overall. A work assignment in Bahrain is surely not to be missed. - Sonali Banerjee

  • Further to the work opportunities, I have been able to explore the culture, food, and language here. I got the chance to work in the administrative capital of KSA, Riyadh and even the business capital, Jeddah during my various work engagements. While there are enough Asians (Indians, Pakistanis, Bangladeshis) who speak Hindi/Urdu that makes interactions easier, the locals are fluent with English which makes everything accessible. During my stay here, I was also able to map similarities in Arabic and Hindi too and waspleasantly surprised to realize the extent of overlap. To conclude, the world is engaging with ME in general, and KSA and UAE in specific to build symbiotic relations and growth opportunities. Working in ME through Protiviti, personally, as an IT consultant, is a microcosm of that macrocosm. - Sanjana Bhanu
