- Ashley: Jennifer and Lorrie betrayed me. They were never on my side. My mom got a new job so my dad stays at home with me. All he ever does is watch TV and give me macaroni and cheese. I still have some rotten dumpster trash to splat in Clara's smug face. Marcus's too. Even that mini-brat Emily will get dumped! Or...I'm losing. Bad. Maybe I should join the winning team. One prank with no photos. That's all I did. I hate losing and I hate giving up even more. "Bye, sweetie!" My dad calls. I didn't bother lying. "Bye, Dad! Love you, MOM!" Dad drops his hand and looks at mom, who shrugs. At least I ruined one person's day.
- Ashley has disappeared. I mean she was kidnapped. The whole group is here to help look for her. I'm waiting for my hotdog in the microwave. What? I can't look on an empty stomach. "ACHOO!" Who sneezed? No one else is here beside me and Carter and he didn't sneeze. "Bless you," I say politely. No response. "Ashley? That you?" I ask. Still no response. Cater walks toward me with an almost hypnotized look in his eyes. "Carter," I say uncomfortably. "NO!" A voice gasps.
- "Tell me again why you were SPYING ON US?!" Cater yells. I turn to Chelsea, who was still in her pathetic disguise. "I just wanted some soda. I saw you walking toward Clara weirdly so, I shouted." Chelsea explains again. I roll my eyes. "Why would you even spy on u-me," I ask but I already know why. Chelsea glares, not saying a word. "I'm gonna-" Cater starts but I stand up. "No, she did the right thing." I walk out of the room just in time to see a famous face. "Oh...hi Clara."
- "CHELSEA!" I shout. "CARTER!" "What?!" Chelsea asked. "It was Ashley. She was here!" Carter stares at me and Chelsea groans. "She faked her disappearance!" Chelsea explained. I nod and leave the brick building. "Chelsea, we have to ask her." Chelsea shook her head vigorously. "No, not Lavender." I smile and hug my friend. "Me and Carter can go to the restaurant she's at now." I supply. "I am kind of hungry." Chelsea groaned again. "Let's go." We ride the bus downtown and find Lavender and her little brother, also named Carter. "Hi," I say cheerfully. "Hi," Lavender muttered. Carter turned around and waved at Chelsea. "Omg you look like-" Chelsea starts but I elbow her ribs. "Not now. Lavender, we need your help." Lavender nods and left her brother to eat his steak. "Where to?"
- I tell Lavender everything and she seems super impressed. "I love your outfit and your plan!" Lavender says. Chelsea mutters something and I smile at Lavender. "Your plan is the most brilliant yet." Chelsea gags and Kinsey sighs. "Ok, so..." Jennifer says, staring at Carter. "There's a boy in my room," Jennifer whispers to me. "Relax." I say "He's really nice." Jennifer sits down near Lavender who winks at Carter. "My plan is gonna blow that Ashley's socks off."
- On Halloween night, I take my little sister trick-or-treating while Lavender, Kinsey, and Jennifer talk on Lavender's father's TV show. " Find Ashley Smith and get 100k!" Lavender says. "Ashley Smith went missing a few days ago. Halloween special, find her and get a bonus costume of your choice! I could even rent you the Crown Of England!" Kinsey smiles and puts on a crown. "this could be YOU!" The crown says. Meanwhile, Emily is dressed as a princess while I'm a cat. Once we reach my house, Chelsea casually walks out from behind a bush. Emily shrieks, causing everyone to look our way. "It's Ashley Smith!" One adult cheered. "The cat got her! She's safe!" Everyone shouts at once. "Thank you so much, Catgirl!" Chelsea says, her voice dripping with sweetness. To the TV station we go.
