- Abbi is in her dorm room about to start her chemistry lecture on zoom.
- With my classes being online or hybrid, I feel like I'm really disconnected from my professors and classmates. I feel like I'm starting to fall behind, and it's really stressing me out.

- Abbi is attending her chemistry lecture where her professor expresses his concern about the students' learning.
- I wish we were in person so I could judge if you all are understanding what we're learning

- Abbi is apprehensive about going to her professor's office hours.
- I don't really understand what is going on in class right now, but I am nervous to go to office hours because I don't know much about this professor.

- A couple of weeks later, Abbi has taken 2 exams so far in the class, and still has not had much communication with her professor and other classmates.
- I haven't done well on my past two exams. I wish we were back in person so I could meet other people in the class for study groups. The professor has not communicated much with the class this semester, and I think this is contributing to my confusion. My mental health is draining and I don't know what to do to help things get better in this class. I tried emailing my professor, but haven't heard anything back, I am not sure that they got my message. I am sure they are having as difficult of a time adjusting to this new learning format.

- The next day Abbi has a friend over to see how they feel about the semester.
- (2) I am really stressed. Some of my professors don't know how to use canvas, and zoom. It has definitely been challenging. I haven't been able to make many friends either.
