Now each farmer can feed 155 people daily thanks to the new technology but compared to the 1940s each farmer could roughly feed 19 people per day. Before they used horses to do a lot of the work and because they are animals they need breaks to rest for their hard work. Now we are lucky that there are tractors and other motorized equipment to make the work faster and more efficient.
- Seeds also play an important role in agriculture. Before crop harvests were damaged and didn't work out because of the weather conditions but now scientists have discovered how to modify seeds. Overall, farmers are very hard-workers because they continuously try to make farming better by improving technology and their resources.

It's important how scientists to know what makes the animals comfortable and what keeps them healthy so they can produce better food. Pigs before were always outside and now they are housed indoors. Since they switched, a disease called Trichinosis had decreased in the pig population in the United States. Because the animal agricultural industry has changed, crop production had become better and better throughout the years. Biotechnology has a lot to do with how living organisms have improved the quality of human life.
