- After Ralph's call with his wife, he begins to remember a memory from when he was a child when his dog died in his arms on the porch of their house. This memory concerns him that the same will happen to his neighbours because of his dog Toby.

- Ralph returns home after work and sees the dead rabbit that Toby had brought back to the house. Ralph's wife had cleaned and fluffed up the rabbit with a plan to sneakily return him to their neighbour's yard.

- Ralph and his wife sneak over to the neighbour's house in the night and return the dead rabbit outside the house in a cage. During this, they hear their neighbour's car motor turn on but likely nobody spotted them as they were hidden behind the bushes.

- The next morning as Ralph leaves for work he is stopped by his frantic neighbour who tells him about how her pet rabbit had died and she had buried him but then the next morning that same rabbit was found dead but back in its cage.
