स्टोरीबोर्ड पाठ

  • Evolution is the process by which different organisms characteristics change overtime to fit specific environments
  • Biogeography, the study of the geographical distribution of organisms, offers insight into the possible timeframe of species evolution.
  • For instance, the division of Pangaea into two supercontinents led to the emergence of distinct species of plants and animals in the northern and southern hemispheres, (Laurasia in the north, Gondwana in the south). Australia's marsupial animals most likely descended from a single progenitor.
  • The earliest rocks contain the fossils of the simplest species, whereas the most recent rocks include the remains of more sophisticated animals. This is consistent with Darwin's theory of evolution, according to which more complex living forms eventually developed from simpler ones. Fossils provide proof of early living forms.
  • Paleontologists have recreated examples of drastic evolutionary shifts in form and function using recovered fossils. For instance, although mammals only have one lower jaw bone, reptiles have many lower jaw bones.
  • In conclusion we can see that through the years there have been maybe examples from different methods to prove that evolution and natural selection is a thing
